Nearing The End

The holocaust ended in specific places when the Allies liberated the camps in 1944-1945. The official end to the holocaust did not come until the end of WWII and all German troops surrendered.If you are looking for an exact date it would be the end of the war May 8, 1945 with the surrender of Nazi, Germany. Reading the book made me think that people in the past who was in the holocaust went through hell . I feel that way because everyone who went through all that pain  ( if there still living) is scared for life .  

Title Night

What does night mean to you or what comes to mind ? According to me night mean sleep time or dark . According to Elie Wisel night meant death or everything was going to an end. The word night is often used to describe a dark moment, evil, bad and so on. In this case, night is used to describe the Jew's darkest moments, and the hardship and evil moments they have encountered while in labor camps.

Meaning of the Swastika

The meaning of the Swastika is ''Life Is Good."Today, the Swastika is  known as a symbol of racism, persecution and anti semitism, which, primarily, arises from the ideology of the German Nazi party and World War II.
 

Is History Worth Studying ?

History is worth studying because without it we would not know where we come from. We would not know what everybody had to go through. The way African -Americans were treated because of their race was not even called for. They called African Americans  negro's and niggers and treated them like animals.  Africans Americans were slaves to white people. If they had the money to buy black (African Americans) people they would do it. They would even sell there slaves for more money. There's why I believe why history is worth studying .

About The Book

In my opinion the book we are reading Of Mice And Men is not a common book that I would read. I find the book to be really difficult because I don't really understand the characters. I do  not like the fact that in the novel use's the words nigger and bastard. On the other hand I would understand why the novel use the words  nigger and bastard , and in my opinion it's because those were the most common world back in the days in the 1930's.
